What Browser should I use to access Internet Banking?
We recommend that you use Internet Explorer 6.0+ or Mozilla 1.4+ for security reasons. It is best to use the most current version available. Many times when browser upgrades are released the respective software company has fixed security problems from the previous version.
What do I do if I can’t remember my password or login?
Please contact the bank to have your password reset and your account unlocked. Your banker will ask you for your security phrase or other information to establish your identity.
Why do I have to change my password periodically?
To ensure the security of your banking information, the bank requires that you change your password at least every 120 days.
Why do I have to select letters, numbers and special characters for a password?
The complexity of your password determines its strength. Selecting random letters, numbers and special characters makes the password strong and decreases the likelihood the password will be compromised.
Why is my Bill Pay password different from Internet Banking?
Internet Banking and Bill Pay are offered through different service providers. When you select Bill Pay, a new window is opened and you are directed to that service provider’s site.
Why do I have to answer questions when I sign on to Internet Banking?
This is an Enhanced Login feature for Internet Banking users. You will be required to select and answer Challenge Questions the very first time you use Internet Banking. You then have the option of registering (enrolling) your computer. We request that you NOT register computers that are publicly used. You will only be required to answer the questions when signing into Internet Banking from an unregistered computer.
How do I make an online transfer?
From the Menu Bar in Personal Internet Banking, select Transfer Funds. Select the “From” account and the “To” account. Fill in the amount to transfer, choose the transfer date and the transfer frequency. Click on “Preview Transfer”. You will be given the opportunity view your transfer before submitting. If all of the information is correct, click “Submit Transfer”.
Can I make a loan payment online?
Absolutely. For a Regular Payment: From the menu bar in Personal Online Banking, select Loan Payment. Select the “from” account. Select the “loan” account. The Amount field will pre-fill with the regular payment amount. Choose the Transmit Date (this will pre-fill with the current date), choose the Frequency (One time, Monthly, etc). Click on Preview Payment. You will be given an opportunity to view your payment before submitting. If all of the information is correct, select Submit Payment.
For a Principal Only Payment: From the menu bar in Personal Online Banking, select Loan Payment. Select the “from” account. Select the “loan” account. The Amount field will pre-fill with the regular payment amount, change that figure to the amount of the Principal Payment. Click “Principal Payment”. Choose the Transmit Date (this will pre-fill with the current date), choose the Frequency (One time, Monthly, etc). Click on Preview Payment. You will be given an opportunity to view your payment before submitting. If all of the information is correct, select Submit Payment.
What is the difference between the current balance and the available balance?
The online banking system may show you two different balances. The current balance includes any transactions that have actually posted to your account. The available balance includes any items that may be pending (i.e. debit card transactions, ACH transactions, holds, etc.) The available balance is used to make check cashing and debit card decisions.
How can I tell if a specific check has paid?
From the Menu Bar in Personal Internet Banking, select “Activity”. Select the Search Type (Check Number or Amount) in the Search for Posted Transaction field. Type in the dollar amount of the check or the check number. Click on Search. If you choose to search by Amount, all transactions for said amount will display.
Is there a way to change how I view my account activity online?
Yes, you can sort your account activity based on posting date, type, credit or debit by clicking on the appropriate heading while viewing account activity. For example, if you click on type, your transactions will sort by ACH, Checks, POS, etc.
Can I place a Stop Payment online?
You can notify us online. While in Internet Banking, click on Message, then New Message to send a secure email to the bank. Include the account number, check number, amount, payee, date check was written and reason for stop payment. Someone from the bank will contact you no later than the next business day to confirm the Stop Payment.
Can I download my account activity to another program?
While viewing your Account Activity, select an application type (.QIF/Microsoft Money, Excel, Quicken) from the drop down list next to Transaction History. Once you choose the application, select the date range you wish to download. Click Download.
Can I get information about my account by phone?
Yes! You can contact your Personal Banker during business hours for account information. We also offer Telephone Banking for automated account information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
How do I sign up for Electronic Statements (eStatements)?
Contact a Personal Banker at any of our locations and they will help get you started on eStatements!
Is there a charge for using an ATM not owned by Freedom Bank?
You have access to any of the more than 1000 Publix Presto ATM’s at no charge. If you use any other ATM, you will only incur that Terminal’s fee. Freedom Bank WILL NOT charge an additional fee.
How do I change my ATM/Debit card PIN number?
When you receive a new ATM/Debit card you will also receive a system-generated 4-digit PIN. When you call 800-448-8268 to activate your new card, you will also be given the option to change that PIN number to one of your choice. It is important that you NOT keep your PIN with your ATM/Debit card.
